Optimizing Warfighter Readiness

OTC-IMASE

Testing and evaluation in a realistic environment is a prerequisite to delivering equipment that functions accurately in the field. To help the U.S. Army Operational Test Command (OTC) enhance the testing process, Alion, working with RAM Inc., developed a “threat-based multi-spectral” testing environment to test Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems.

Our engineers led the modeling, simulation and software development efforts that included portraying the collection and reporting capabilities for each of the Army’s ISR sensors, which has led to new standards for testing future ISR systems.

By simulating actual field conditions, the program is helping the Army ensure that warfighters receive the optimal equipment for their missions with the help of Alion’s work with the OTC.
