From towers to processors, we design, develop, integrate, and manage the sensors, systems, and other assets necessary to support integrated intelligence, surveillance & reconnaissance operations, exploitation, and analysis across all branches of the U.S. military.
OUR ISR SOLUTIONS
We provide highly-skilled engineers and scientists to the National Intelligence Centers for the analysis of foreign hardware and software, as well as the analysis of all-source intelligence data.
Alion’s Terrain Integrated Rough Earth Model (TIREM) is a set of physics-based algorithms used to predict coverage for land mobile radios, point-to-point distances, and sensor acquisition ranges. TIREM ingests sub-meter Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) data to produce analysis for ground and air transmitters and receivers.
TIREM enables DoD and commercial customers to forecast radio frequency (RF) propagation loss over irregular terrain and seawater for ground-based and air-borne transmitters and receivers. Alion scientists and engineers have been enhancing and maintaining TIREM since creating it in 1967.
Alion’s CounterMeasures® software has been certified as the first DoD-sponsored tool for risk assessment and analysis of federal facilities not located on a military base.
Alion’s RF engineers developed a solution to protect essential government communications systems by monitoring the electromagnetic spectrum and alerting users to interference or jamming.
Our rapid response radio frequency (RF) expertise and experience with NOAA systems allows NOAA and gold mining mineral assessment activities to co-exist without interfering with sensitive satellite operations.
