SENSORS AS A FORCE MULTIPLIER
The fusion of RADAR, communications, electronic warfare, and cyber effects in a low-cost, low-profile package is a force multiplier in the field. Alion’s low-SWaP sensor and sensing solutions are built on state-of-the-art architectures and all employ our system-on-a-chip embedded processor. They can operate as a stand-alone system, be connected for multi-mode operation, or be integrated into an existing common operating picture.
We continue to upgrade our capabilities fusing new technology — like artificial intelligence (Ai) — into signal processing, for improved performance in the field.
OUR SENSOR SYSTEM SOLUTIONS
Our multimode radars feature sense through the wall, foliage penetration, counter UAS, and wide area surveillance with Ai-enabled target classification.
Our high-speed tactical communications hardware, with cyber-secure LPI/LPD waveforms and HW- or SW-based encryption, support mobile and tactical security.
Alion develops low-SWaP, tactical, firmware-defined systems to support integrated EW, cognitive EW, and cyber EW— wherever the mission takes you.
MULTI-MODE SPECTRUM SYSTEMS
As a system of systems, our multi-mode spectrum systems support various mission sets, like dynamic spectrum allocation and deployed CUAS operations.
DIGITALLY INTEROPERABLE (ADIO) RADIO
Warfighters operate in intensely dynamic environments, and voice and data connectivity play a significant role in the success of their missions. We support our clients by designing, developing, testing, and integrating solutions that enable rapid development of software-defined radio (SDR) waveforms and other sensing systems.
Our digitally interoperable (ADIO) radio platform provides a small form factor footprint with improved performance and capability. From standard comms to passive listening for spectral monitoring and waveform/frequency, ADIO delivers flexibility for SDR systems, so that disparate radio networks can interoperate.
In addition, we are providing RDT&E and experimentation to improve coexistence of systems such as high speed data link architectures to radar and electronic warfare to signals intelligence — simultaneously. Our agile development model allows us to quickly deliver enhancements to key communications and RADAR-based systems. This work will provide significant improvements in wireless communication systems and also provide efficient and highly adaptive development processes that will generate cost benefits for our customers and result in significant improvements for communications and RADAR-based systems throughout the DoD.
MEET OUR BUSINESS LEADERS
Dino Cencetti, Operations Manager
Based in our Rome, NY, facility, Dino Cencetti is the operations leader for Alion’s Weapon Systems and Sensors Operation (WSSO). The WSSO team tackles ISR and EW design and integration as well as expeditionary operations and sustainment, including work on P3, P8, E2D, H-60, ALQ-99, Triton, PSS-G, GBOSS-e, and DCGS-AF.
Matt Britton, Program Manager
Matt Britton is an area director for the engineering and development of ISR & EW sensor systems. He leads a team of systems, electrical, computer, mechanical, and software engineers and oversees technical capture and execution of multiple funded and IRAD efforts.
